A couple weeks ago I photographed Matt & Heather's beautiful Indianapolis wedding with Meghan Hochgesang. I started the day with the guys, who were getting ready at Matt & Heather's house. Everyone was super laid back and inviting and by the end of the day I felt like I had known Matt & Heather and their family and friends for years. Seminarians assigned to the Boys and Girls Club of Evansville spend the afternoon helping children with homework or playing games in the game room or playground.

Br. Luke Waugh is among the group of seminarians who go to Guerin Woods in Georgetown for ministry. Every Wednesday afternoon through out the semester he heads down there to visit with residents. They put together puzzles or talk about books. You could see how much the residents enjoyed their company and really got to know them.

I've been out and about from Jasper to Georgetown to Evansville photographing Saint Meinrad seminarians and lay students in ministry. It was really uplifting to watch people selflessly helping other people. This photo is of Br. Simon Baker leading a discussion on heaven at the Bosco Youth Group in Jasper.

Boys and Girls Club of Evansville

Yesterday I went down to Evansville to take some ministry photos of a couple seminarians volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club of Evansville. A lot of the children kept calling me to take their picture...and after a while I gave in. here are a couple I liked.

Deacon Ordination

Two seminarians studying at Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology received the order of deacon from the Most Rev. Christopher J. Coyne, apostolic administrator of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, at the Archabbey Church in St. Meinrad, IN, on April 14.

The newly ordained deacons are John Kamwendo, Archdiocese of Indianapolis, and Todd Nance, Diocese of Tulsa.

In the Catholic faith, a deacon can preach, baptize, witness marriages, offer Communion to the sick and aged, and perform other ministerial duties.

Spring Time

In Memory of Fr. Boniface

Father Boniface Hardin, OSB, died peacefully in the Lord March 24, 2012. I never had the chance to meet him but it sounds like he was a remarkable man. The funeral liturgy and burial were held today at the Archabbey Church and Cemetery.

Mackenzi: French Lick Senior Photographer

Saturday I took the gorgeous Mackenzi's senior photos out in Paoli and at the West Baden Springs Hotel. The dome is one of my favorite places to take photos...it has gardens and a giant porch...and the dome! and a hallway with the most beautiful light EVER!

Sweet Afton turned Two

I headed down to Bowling Green last Thursday for Afton's second birthday. The day started with several fiascoes...including balloons being stuck in the trees and two big rain storms sweeping through the area...but nothing could ruin the tea party themed birthday. A little cake frosting and lots of love for her family kept Miss Afton happy throughout the night!
